Rivet Wars CMON

Mods: Please delete if already posted.

Looks like CMON has launched another Kickstarter.  This one almost tripled its goal in the first 24 hours.

Weird War 1 very cartoony:

Saw this in my inbox this morning.

Not sure what to make out of it, though it does tweak my interest.

Will be following their progress.

Saw that, and was immediately, and very strongly, reminded of this:

Flipit Paper Combat! I have a faction of Red Hammers ready for anyone who is bold enough to cut and paste his/her own force together, but so far, they're just looking really cool on the windowsill next to my computer. They're staring at me right now... ;D
Miniatures you say? Well I too, like to live dangerously...

The aesthetic is cute, but I'm not really sold on the idea. Actually, reminds me a lot of this game:

My thoughts exactly. Far more Flipit Paper Combat than the Advance Wars series. Wonder if there's a connection?...

Looks like a modification of Brigade Games' Gnome Wars.
They call me "Point Cow"

The whole "cute" thing is way too childish for my taste.
While I love weird war because it takes away some of the seriousness of WW II away, this is just not appealing to me.  :? :`
The KS is however as professional presented as you can expect from CMON!  8)
cheers and keep on gaming, Agis - https://www.adpublishing.de

Too cutesy for me too.

I'm not bored with Kickstarters though, but the product has to interest me before I part with the hard earned cash.  I was really pleased with Zombicide, and have high expectations of Reaper Bones.

Isn't that a bit like saying you're bored of different miniatures coming out? I wish these companies every success. If it's something that doesn't interest me then I won't contribute. Personally, having 7 year old, I think he'll love this and it might be agame we can all play. You have a point with the ability to sustain these, but again, if not enough people are interested, it won't get made.

Already have my Blitzkrieg level backed. So far that nets me the whole set(12 Infantry, 2 Cavalry, 1 Tank, 1 Vehicle, 2 Heroes, 1 Plug Turret per each side), 2 extra heros, 2 faction patches, plastic versions of the bunkers/objectives that come with the main set, 2 additional cavalry per side, 1 additional vehicle per side and 1 additional tank per side. That's only for $150US. And with 27 days to go I think the possibility of doubled infantry per side is doable. It may be too cute for some but it's still quite a deal and the models are of good quality.

It's too cute for me as well.  CMON always delivers what they promise though.  Lots of good reviews of their previous offerings.
