Trying out Ultra Fubar in the war of the 2040s
« on: January 07, 2013, 10:20:33 PM »
I wanted to try the new Ultra Fubar rules being proposed by their author. For a while I have wanted to see if I could bolt-on the scenario generator from the Mongoose Rules "Battlefield Evolution". So this is what we did.

By the way, the "War of the 2040s" setting is from George Friedmans Book "The next 100 years"

Nice looking game! 'The Next 100 Years' is quite an interesting read.  It does seem a bit fanciful at points though.

Yes, although remember that George Friedman also wrote The Coming War with Japan, which thankfully didn't come.

Still, what stops wargamers from enjoying a good scenario?
