Public speaker or not, he seems handy with that cutter. I'm already planning how to paint mine up.
You are quite right. He's the technician. And let somebodyelse do the talking.

I didn't watch the video - but I'm glad to see this stuff.  There is so much fantastic MDF stuff coming out from a ton of shops.  It's a great material, and it's awesome to see how easy and fast it can be planned and produced.

I have a buddy who does laser-cut stuff and I occasionally chat with him about an idea, and he has a prototype the next day.  Between this and 3D printing, gaming is great. :D

I agree - Done right, this 3d MDF printing is a real boon to wargaming.

Speaking-wise, I'd print/paint up a simple layout, take some in-game shots, and let the product do most of the talking. After all, that's what the customer is really buying here.

I really like these corridors. I think they will be great looking once painted, especially with interiour availble in resin, like computer consoles, cryo chambers and similar stuff. Hopefully these will become reality for everyone to get. Amazing what can be made out of plywood.  :D The design looks like Hadley's Hope out of Aliens.

I like the look of these a lot, however I see one sort of issue.

The angle of the sides of the corridors is out at the bottom, in at the top. Considering these are corridors players will be mainly looking down onto the corridors which means a lot of the details on the sides will become invisible to the eye.

It's also not overly competitive with resin alternatives.

I don´t believe it is sold in USA yet, but ask them for postage.

I ended up going for it, too.  As more of the stretch goals have been met and added to the sets it became a better deal.  I was thinking about building something along these lines but this has the bonus of being more detailed and more modular than I probably would have built.   I think they will work well as spaceship corridors or as a base for my Doctor Who games without looking too sci-fi for a contemporary military bunker.

The more I see of this the more I like it. Unfortunately it's out of my price range with European postage. I'm really pleased for the guy it's working out.

For those of us on this side of the pond, Warmill has just put up an empty placeholder page for their modular Scifi corridors.

Couple of development pics here:

The Warmill stuff looks pretty good. Their store prices are quite high but it does look like a quality product they make. I still fancy trying to make my own though. All I need is a lot of time and a 'frickin' laser'!
