German armoured train
« on: 12 January 2013, 09:45:08 PM »
Hi,

In Spain we celebrate “Los Reyes Magos”, instead Noel. And for this occasion I’ve painted two armoured trains (from BT and Heer46) for my brother :). After 4 days of hard work, finally I finished the train (and my wrist hurts… :-[).

To prepare the cars I was inspired by other painters. The gates were done with foamed PVC instead plasticard, because is cheapest. And the rest of details were done with green stuff. And the weathering effects were done with enamels and oils (AK interactive), instead acrylic paints. For me it is easier to work with these products, because they take longer to dry and can be easily manipulated!.

However, the train is incomplete. I still need to buy the infantry cars, and perhaps another set of AA and artillery cars (for next Christmas!  ;D ).   Of course, I need tracks too!.

Well, criticism, suggestions and comments are welcome!. Please, click to enlarge the pics.

Absolutely stunning work,  :-* you are getting better and better!

IMO you have set the standard in 15mm AFV painting, can't get any better - I need a brother like you!  8)
(I can say this since I have 2 sisters and no brother - so nobody is offended...)
 ;)
cheers and keep on gaming, Agis - https://www.adpublishing.de
