Mountain man Finished.
« on: 08 February 2013, 08:08:48 PM »
This 28mm mini is sculpted using Uro polymer clay (un-baked at present) as more work is needed on it.

It is based on a mountain man character who appeared in one episode of an old 1968 western TV movie mini series, who lost his hand and fashioned himself a claw made from a bears rib bones.

Looking good (Malamute was probably TOO SCARED to click the link).  You say it is un-cured, can I suggest you actually cure it as you go along. I dont know how the clay will hold up to repeated baking but putting layers/details onto set clay is a lot easier to do and will help get a crisper finish.

I know what you mean, I left it this long incase I wanted to make some major changes from constructive crits that people might make.

Overall looks good but I just couldn't figure out what is going on with his right hand (left side as I look at the image).  What is he holding?

Quite a challenge to achieve what you have with that material.  I've used if for other things, once did a decent tiger with it in 15 mm.

LOOKIN' GOOD! The "claws" on the right hand remind me of the Bad Guys from Brotherhood of the Wolf. Keep up the FINE WORK!
