1913-2013 HG Wells Centennial Games At RMA, Sandhurst This April
« on: February 10, 2013, 10:28:29 PM »

In 1913, the Father of modern war gaming, HG Wells, saw his seminal work, "Little Wars," published in book form.

Now, 100 years later, Padre Paul Wright, Senior Chaplain at the Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst, and author of the updated homage to Wells and his age, "Funny Little Wars," hosts the Centennial Games April 27-28, 2013.

After some four years of planning, with the delightful contributions of his charming Wife, Georgina, Padre Wright will oversee multiple 54mm/1:32 scale yard games (indoor as well) using both Wells' and his own rules, on the grounds of Sandhurst itself.

"Funny Little Warriors" around the world have responded, and a very remarkable confabulation of latter-day Edwardian Gentlemen will be in attendance.

For full details concerning lodging, directions, etc, please E-mail the Padre at funnylittlewars@yahoo.co.uk
...And so, to the Green Fields Beyond in the company of Mr Wells.
