I am well and truely back into my painting groove and recently got my hands on Nocturna Alice for me which gives me chance to paint something based off one of my favourite picture....I have it as my desktop wallpaper....DOWN BOY

Started this morning whilst streaming Reign of Fire

Then I went a little further......just couldn't help myself

Nocturna has a quite interesting range, and this mini is a perfect example of that. I'm eager to see the final result...

Maybe you are.........maybe you have had a schizophrenic episode :)

Thanks pal.  Never really went anywhere, just slummed it for a short time painting tabletop stuff that sort of depresses me  :'(

Yes they do pal, I have coveted a number of their models in recent weeks, especially some of the new Malefic range.

Cheers pal.

Slight alterations to the face made, lightened the eye shadow, enlarged the irises, added red to the shadows and pink to the highlights on the face to add a little colour

Are those intentional needle bruising, or just a lucky coincidence? =) Looks good so far, if a little bit more worn out and rough than the inspiration.

Just curious where you'll go with this - the airbrushed "perfect" beauty of the original inspiration or Alice the heroin addict with stained dress and soiled apron. It would be cool if you did a subtle dope fiend look, so that upon first glance you go "wow, bewbz!" and then "hey wait a second, not everything is ok here...".

Either way, I'm sure you'll do a stellar job!

My brother was a heroin addict so I would find absolutely no joy in painting someone or something like that.  It is just natural shading from a downward facing antecubital fossa,  so lucky coincidence, though I find nothing lucky about heroin pal....so no smackwhores i'm afraid :D

Thanks pal

Did a little work on her dress.

Fully understandable. Sorry to hear about your brother!

Back on topic, the work on the dress looks very good! What scale is this mini, btw?

I shouldn't be sorry pal, I won't go into precise details but he sorted his life out with a little help from his family. Mini is 1:22 scale pal.

Amazing paintwork as always, but there's something not quite right with her face. I'm not sure, but I think it could be the shading around her eyes is too dark and gives her a slightly haggard look.
Anyway great stuff and looking forwards to seeing more.

Thats just under exposure of the photo pal don't worry her eyes look fine in my hand......and no I am not the man who collects eyeballs

Worked on the hair last night and I am rather pleased with how realistic I managed to get it as hair is my bugbear
