Dark Ages Cattle - little project
« on: 17 February 2013, 04:42:26 PM »
I had a bit of a buy up at Vapnartak, and picked up some dirt-cheap cattle models from Irregular minatures.

After a bit of work, I ended up with these, which ought to be a nice bit of colour and randomness for my games.

I can 100% guarantee that these are cattle, and do NOT contain any horse DNA! lol
Measure with a micrometer, mark with chalk, cut with an axe, hammer to fit, paint to match!

they look nice, are they 28mm?
I used to be with it, but then they changed what it was. Now what I'm with isn't it anymore and what is it seems weird and scary.

Sorry, I ought to have added that. Yes - or near enough to fit in with 28mm figures anyway! lol

I can't find them on the Irregular page

Their stand at conventions in the UK is a huge spread of mixed allsorts. How it relates to the on line list I don't know. I've found it's the sort of place where you might not find what you went looking for, but you nearly always find something you like. I've acquired wheels, cannon barrels, various small scenic bits (boxes and whatnot) pack animals and many assorted oddments over the years. I mean this year there was a box full of white metal totem poles! I scratched my head wondering what the hell anyone would do with one, never mind a handful, but I would be willing to bet that to SOMEONE, that's like hitting the motherlode.

Domesticated animals and wildlife are always a welcome addition to any gamer's collection. Nice find.
