With a young king intoxicated by the ideals of chivalry, brave knights undertake daring adventures throughout the darker places of the kingdom. Sharp swords and well-forged armour protect them, and solemn vows keep them dedicated to their goal. Dare you take up the challenge of such a quest? After months of tinkering, I’ve finally got my dungeoncrawl rules to the point where they are ready for sharing, and I’d like to share them with you. I wrote them specifically to introduce my five year old into gaming with me, and with the idea that a bright eight year old could DM (or be the Minstrel, in Goblinquest terms), so the mechanisms are simple. Simple without, I hope, being simplistic.
It is designed to be played on a square-tiled grid (think D&D tiles, dwarvenforge, Inked Adventures tiles, space hulk...) and I hope to have a sample adventure up for download at some point over the weekend.
You can download the draft rules, character cards, and some sample item cards from my blog,
>here<If you fancy a bit of old school dungeoneering (and who doesn't?) why not give them a go? Oh, and please give me some feedback on how it goes for you so as I can make them even better!
Cheers,
Rab
