I could not resist this one either. I hope people are aware of the "Movie" Elisabeth I with retinue that also will be available if the project goes through as well as the discount on the whole TAG range if you pledge. It seems tough to reach the 20K limit :(

Elizabeth and the other general, "a foppish coward, his unwashed man-servant and Lord Percy" :D
I'm wondering if it would be allowed to crosspost this kickstarter somewhere to highlight that it's kind of like a big discount on some very fine minis if it's not tudors you're after...

I must admit to being quite tempted by this, but what happens if it doesn't reach the funding goal, which seems likely given only 5 days left? Looks like a lot of the miniatures are already in production anyway? I still haven't quite grasped how these things work and whether one gets one's money back if a project doesn't go ahead...

You actually don't pay anything unless the KS is finished and funded.

You won't lose anything if it doesn't fund. I think they have the option to go ahead anyway if they want.

Well, obviously TAG could still bring things into production - albiet at a slower rate and under their own steam.

There is also the option to re-boot the Kickstarter, perhaps with a lower goal. There is a recent fantasy KS that did just that and the second time round seem to have attracted much greater investment. And all they are showing is just renders AFAIK, whereas TAG is showing actual figures.

There are two types of funding - fixed, where the amount has to be generated or no funds are charged; and flexible, where the donor's card is charged and all moneys go to the drive regardless of whether the goal is reached.

The trouble is TAG's kickstarter is for a historical range, and historical gamers are notoriously cheap...

The initial goal seems to be quite high and it's not very attactive when it comes to discounts. Especially the higher levels are very close to what TAG charges at their webstore. KS projects live from backers spending big sums and you need to attract these people with some cool deals. TAG is more attractive for the small deals and then especially for the people who want their other ranges like WW2 etc.
Wild West Exodus had the average backer spend over 320$. People need a good reason to part with sums like that.

Well, the goal is high because they're making a whole army and not just a set of skirmish figures. That's a much bigger project than most kickstarters.
