Arthur vs Mordred
« on: March 05, 2013, 01:29:27 PM »
These are the special SALUTE 2006 miniatures. I love this little diorama. I have painted it for someone in this forum (I would say his name but I don´t know if he wants to be named). I have another one for me, but as usual, I don´t know when I´ll paint it, but I´ll base them for SAGA or Dux Britanniarum. Sorry about the blu-tack but I need to send them separately from the base.

there are some more pictures on my blog: http://einarolafson.blogspot.de/2013/03/arthur-vs-mordred.html.

Cheers.

These are quite exquisite! Your work is quite breathtaking and makes me quite depressed about my own abilities :'(

In spite of that, thank you so very much for sharing. Absolutely inspirational!

That's a great result. I found mine (along with various other free figures from shows that I've never found a use for) the other day whilst looking for something else in my lead pile! This makes me feel like sticking some paint on, but I really ought to work on the SCW Regulares and Legion that I'm doing first.

Inspiring.

When you say "special SALUTE 2006 miniatures" does this mean that the miniatures were only available at the 2006 SALUTE?

You could only get it at SALUTE 2006 or second hand market now.

Very nice work!  I never knew which one was supposed to be Arthur in this diorama though...

I always assumed he was the one with the sword but could be wrong. Exceptionally painted miniatures though, really lovely!

I think Arthur is the one with the spear, 'cause Mordred killed Arthur didn't he? And besides, the one with the sword looks pretty evil.
Anyway, fantastic paintjob! It looks really nice.

Mordred speared Arthur daring there fight. But Arthur was strong enough to deal a final blow to Mordred, with his sword Excalibur. So they both died.

When you hear Arthur you think magic sword not broken spear. That was my logic!

Thank you for your very kind words!! :)

I have enjoyed painting them. Arthur is the one with the sword, Mordred the one with the broken spear. You can see the same scene in several films too.

Cheers.
