First X-Wing Game With Falcon
« on: 07 March 2013, 10:27:41 PM »
Used the Falcon for the first time last night at the local club. She can take a lot of pounding and the ability to fire all around is very handy. She does seem to have 'Fire at me!' Painted all over her because at the end of the game she was the only loss (and actually damaged ship) on the Rebel side...

All the ships involved at first contact

I've not played X-Wing yet, but regardless you have to love the Falcon!

What mat are you using? that looks like vinyl, not felt.

Well spotted :) it is vinyl and from this company-

http://www.discountbannerprinting.co.uk/

It's one of their outdoor banners. Very easy to use and super quick, I ordered mine late Sunday night and received it Tuesday. Prices are good as well, 3'x3' is £30, 4'x4' is £40 (that's the size I use) and 6'x4' is £54, p&p is first class and free. NASA has plenty of great pictures that can be used if you're going to use it for space gaming and I'm sure there are plenty of other uses for them like WWI or WWII areial combat games (just find a good aerial picture of trenches or countryside).

The Falcon and Slave One were big hits at the convention this weekend. Very cool minis.

Hi there

Like the table cloth , is it the PVC one or the roller banner ?

Would it be good for using small pieces of blue tac to anchor scenery onto ? like hills & roads etc?

regards Paul

It's the outdoor vinyl one. Should be fine with bluetak etc. I also asked for it not to have eyelets put in.
