Lovely stuff... it's a great shame there's no alien figures freely available. I reckon they're be more popular than the game they released a couple of months ago...

Yes this is all great. Have you finished the op's yet?
What rules will you use?

Thanks once more for the comments.
Ops is almost finished.
I have not really come to the rules yet, I am thinking perhaps sharing the homebrew rules I am working on for my the Thing project in a simplified version.
Here are a few pics from the project. I have finished the interior except for minor detailing and detail painting.

The windows are in, still need to finish the floor and the gratings.

The colonial administrations android has a weapons locker in her office.

Let us in!

I am sorry, unable to comply with your request...

Facehuggers WIP

Medbay beds and cryopods

Dropship. As there are so few good dropships in 28mm I'll make do with papercraft.

Another papercraft shuttle for the landing pad.

Finally an update.

And holy mother of cowdung what an update. You are unbeliavable! I am so frigging impressed.

So now how, hard are those papercraft to build? I have been eyeing them for a while.

Thanks! Sorry for the slow progress, I have been on vacation and also working on my fallout project for Gubbspel Galore IV in Gothenburg in august.  ;)
The papercraft is not all that complicated, just a bit fiddly and time consuming, I think the dropship took 4-7 evenings to build after I put our daughter to bed. I missed to do the edging (graying the edges with a gray pen) while building the dropship so there are a few white edges showing. Heavy grade paper/cardstock of around 200-300 gsm is needed for best result. Heavier paper makes the building easier.

Love the building. Especially the windows and desks. Good work.

Are both of the paper craft ships from Ebbles? I have the dropship but would love to have the shuttle as well.

Looking good as ever, Anpu! :-*

But I'm a bit disappointed with the fact that The Thing board isn't finished yet ;)

who makes the colonial administrations android?
I used to be with it, but then they changed what it was. Now what I'm with isn't it anymore and what is it seems weird and scary.

The med beds are from Grekwood miniature, the cryopods are from antenociti's and the facehuggersr are scratchbuilt.
Two variants of making the facehuggers, one is glueing two hands from a plastic figure, zombie or ghoul works best than grenstuffing the rest of the body and tail or if on hand use a skaven tail for the tail. the other variant is made with a small armature of thin wire for the creature then cover with greenstuff. I cannot seem to find the original thread for the tutorial, I think it was on frothers. I have it printed somewhere here at home though.
