I've recently finished off some of Gripping Beast's Dark Age characters, namely Alfred the Great and Gunnar:

Handsome! Do they have an army to lead? If so are you going to share it with us?

Very nice, but one minor criticism - they are a little shiny. It may very well be the camera flash, in which case ignore my comment. If it is not the flash, then maybe a quick spray with a dull-cote type varnish will sort that out.

Thanks. Unfortunately, no army. I bought them as a planned project for an army of Dale, but I have been in the process of getting rid of my LOTR stuff, so thought I'd paint these up as they should be and let someone else enjoy them!

Thank you. IT is the camera flash, yes. The iPhone is rubbish for taking shots of miniatures. But then my photography skills aren't that great either!
