Gringo40s New 28mm Conqistador battle wagon
« on: 02 April 2013, 02:59:09 PM »
Chaps

thought you might like to see my reconstruction of a spanish

ibattle wagon made originally by the Conquestadors in their final

push on the Aztec capital.......im sure its not overly commercial but

i had to do one!! o_o there will be Arquibusiers made to man the beast

of war and some more bu***rs to push it!!.........

i was going to make their catapault but it broke on the first firing

so gave that a miss.........enjoy the unusual :o :-* :o :-* ..its 28mm metal

So they wheeled it along the wall? Not towards it?

whiskey priest i have no photos yet of the conquistadors i hope to have

some painted samples on the board before salute and some photos

of the blacked up castings.

James the vechile was indeed unusual but effective by all accounts

Sir Barnaby my uderstanding is they did a bit of both as well as to use

it as a mobile fortress...the Aztec slingers were deadly hence this

weapon.

I too had wondered about that, but I love the look of it and am looking forward to seeing it crewed  8)

It looks exactly like the old Skoda one of my neighours used to drive.
Em dezembro de '81
Botou os ingleses na roda
3 a 0 no Liverpool
Ficou marcado na história
E no Rio não tem outro igual
Só o Flamengo é campeão mundial
E agora seu povo
Pede o mundo de novo

I'm not sure there's much point in deliberatley torching a Skoda, self fulfilling wish with most owners back in the 'eighties.  They might have been better depriving the invaders of access to four pound mallets and a 3/4 ring spanner, which as I understand it are the only tools required to maintain one.

Very nice work, they used it on the causways like a mobile pill box and I suppose to gain height for the arquibisers . I think Neil Burt made one for our Tenochtitlan game back in 2007.

I will see if I can find the photos for a bit of inspiration seem to have lost the link to picassa

ahh found it
