West of Shanghai with Boris Karloff.

I might not be Shanghai Express - but this Boris Karloff film looks not bad in a pulpy way.



Released recently in a Boris Karloff triple bill of his non monster movies by Warner Archives

Just arrived yesterday.  Will let you know when I watch it.  I'm sure it's absolutely rubbish, but my hope is that's it soooooooo bad...it's good.  Watch this space

Old Boris appeared in some fairly exotic settings, there's slightly odd film, usually passed off as a zombie film, where he appears as a Greek General on a plague infested island during the First Balkan War. Not a bad film actually, if not especially scary.

He was born down the road from me, just over the road from Peckham Rye park, you can't get more exotic than that  lol

It was ok, no more.  Classic low budget pulp movie of the era.
