Futurama Crew
« on: 11 April 2013, 10:17:12 AM »
Once I've accepted and internalized I lack of any focus when doing my projects, I live with more inner peace :D. So I just do whatever I fancy to do at the moment.
I also lack of any sculpting skills, so I'm decided to work a little on that. An easy project would be doing some small conversions on cartoon characters, so I thought it would be fun making Fry, Leela and Bender.
I got a couple of minis from Hasslefree, 'not Scooby Doo's Fred Barney' and a 'female armature'.

Some green stuff later, they looked like this:

This is of course pure scratch:

And once painted in their dazzy cartoon style they ended up this way:

You can see it all here (with some more explanations), fleshwads! :D:

Great miniatures - very well done on the conversions and the scratch-build.

Wow, they are great! Good job!

Are you using them with some rules or are they only for the vitrine?

Thanks, pals! :)
The pics are absolutely [censored] Ehm, I mean... loathsome. I know I always say the same, but the minis look better when in your hands.

I wasn't planning any game for them, made the minis just for fun, but for sure it would be interesting some kind of foolish cartoon-action game ;D.

Oh, sure any of you already have some ideas...

I was thinking on some Ganesha games, they have the potential to become cartoonish if you play a bit with the character´s abilities (There are some good funny ones in Kooky Teenage Monster Hunter) ...I don´t know if there´s a futuristic one, but one setted in the actual era could work as well  ;)

They're fantastic, both the putty work and the styke you've painted them in.
