OFFENSIVE MINIATURES RELEASE LRDG AND SAS VEHICLES
« on: April 12, 2013, 10:30:49 PM »
We have these brand new desert raiders out for Salute!

Our SAS desert jeep comes with crew figures, stowage and more weapons than you can shake a stick at.

As does our LRDG Chevrolet 30cwt truck. We also have a captured Breda a/a gun version out very soon.

Here they are:

These will be available at Salute!

Yes,
I found reference pictures myself

since I was sceptical about fastening jerry cans on the hood

maybe it is the way they look on Your models, I don't know
somehow I have a "suspension of disbelief" failure here

which otherwise works very well with the chevy trucks  :)

Super job on the vehicles.
With the Perrys doing North Africa,
 they should sell well.

The SAS rigged their jeeps to carry maximum fuel, water, ammo and tyres. Reg Seekings, an SAS original NCO was pretty much responsible for designing the rigs, which were largely standardized across the regiment. The bonnet was a valuable storage area which carried 5 gerry cans as standard.

The LRDG version did not carry as many in some cases.

thanks

Yes, of course
I saw the pictures - something looks strange about the jerrycans - maybe they are too big or it is the general scale of the GP, I don't know

Maybe its the eye of the beholder?

The gerry cans and jeep are spot scale wise. I check each vehicle against the real thing if possible and measured a jeep in the DLI Museum here in the north of England.

The cans should span to the edge of the bonnet, or hood for you colonials ;).

I wonder what it is that you have a problem.

We welcome comment, at the end of the day it is you, the customers that should love our models, as much as we do!

Our Desert Kubel - DAK crew are now done to go with this model

and a different view of that stowage.

it is definitely the eye of the beholder
Your vehicles are fine sculpts, relax.  :)

if You plug Your products to the public because You want comments and feedback, just take it as it is. My beholding eye is not the ultima ratio regum of anything, just my eye.
And thank You for calling me a colonial, I appreciate that, since Germany hasn't been a colony to the anglo-saxon world  ;)
or maybe it has?  lol lol

but please let us return to the topic
will You also do some italian counterparts, the Compagnie Sahariane? Because the LRDG is understandibly a bit overrepresented in the manufacturer spectrum, and usually they fight their prey  ;)

Thank you for your comments, which as you say is why we put our products on forums.

We do hope to expand our range and have some Italians in mind. We do a set of guard figures at present for the Gran Sasso raid and I am converting these to Carabinieri at present just for display.

I do love Italian subjects, particularly the Polizia Africa and the Sahara Company as well as Bersaglieri.

My colonial reference was due to your American English, and they definitely where colonials!

thanks for your compliments

Bruce

Wonderful vehicles and a wonderful paint job too - they look so dusty! I was planning to buy some more of your FJ at Salute so it looks like Offensive will be taking even more of my hard earned cash now!

For us poor guys who live on the other side of the Big Pond,
how long must we wait for these cool toys? :)
Really love them.
