Greetings

now these are two interesting entries. I would have liked a close-up from the eldars and the banner of the skeletons is huge. I mean HUGE.  ;)

Good job
and good luck

Pil, nice banner! Love the hole in it so the banner-bearer is visible lol Nicely painted. Using those different colours on the command models really makes them stand out from the rank-and-file of your army. Also, skeletons being raised never gets old, does it? :D

Good to see some eldar on the LPL. Great choice to paint a Seer Council for this round, it doesn't get more HQ with eldar than that :) Some close-ups would have been great. Maybe after this round is finished?

Very cool Eldar Rholl06! It's good to see such a wide selection of Eldar seers and warlocks in Ulthwé colours, well done!

Lovely crisp painting on the Eldar - I was always tempted to collect an army of these guys although I would probably have copied the Alaitoc colours having been brainwashed by White Dwarf in the 90's!

Nice to see you revisiting an old theme Pil!  ;)

Cracking banners and shields as usual and I love the witches - where are they from?

Thanks! There will be more undead in future rounds, I have lots more models to paint and the LPL is a good occasion to get to it 8) The witches are AD&D liches from Citadel, I read on Warseer that there are seven variants but I can't find a page that lists them all. Here's a picture of another variant: http://www.solegends.com/citadd1/add94ghastwightliche/IMG_9571-01.htm

The banner is indeed about as large as I could make it. I wanted it to be suitably clear it's an army standard. The standard reads:
Good friend for Morrs sake forbeare
To dig the dust enclosed here
Blessed be the man that spares these stones
And cursed be he that moves my bones

Which is a slightly modified version of Shakespeare's epitaph. The banner itself is painted after a Skeletonwitch album cover:

Beneath it are the words odium aeternum (eternal hatred).

Skeletons rising from the grave are always fun. I tried to track down two more metal skeletons rising from the grave but I couldn't find them in time so one of them is plastic.

lol Pil, That is fantastic.  I liked the entry but the explanation of the banner is icing on the cake.  I'm glad to see that your undead theme has continued, you must have a legion by now...

Nice Eldar, though hard to see them clearly being dressed in black. The picture could do with being a bit sharper. Nice entry!

@Pil: who's wardrobe did these guys rob? Very disturbing colors for them liches and thesy will defenitly stand out. I now also understand why you said the banner would take some time :)
Why aim for gold if you can get lead?

The Eldar are great and some of the undead are truly horrible sculpts but I still voted for them. Great job on both entries.

I'm glad you appreciate my sources of inspiration 8)

Yeah, for some reason I think pink clothing works really well on these undead. The colours indeed do help them to stand out 8)

Thanks! I myself love the sculpts but they're not to everyone's taste :)
