This is a cool project.  The cars look fantastic.

Why, oh why did I not buy those when they were widely available? :'(
This is my boomstick!

Cheers chaps. Sadly no update, I've been busy putting my model making skills to use with my sister's cake business. Give me foam board and coffee stirrers any day; fondant icing is such a pain to work with.

I'm thinking why did I not buy more! They were such a good price I wish I had bought double. I just love painting them.

Cheers. I'm with you there. I hate painting yellow too. The yellow cars are painted two different ways. My original way of painting the rust was to do a reddy brown base coat over the whole car then stipple on the cars paintwork in a couple of layers leaving the edges brown. The first one I used foundry ochre yellow a and b. The open top car with red seats was done using my new way of painting rust; car painted all over with colour I want then stippling the edges with same reddy brown, then a silver. In this case I used GW Citadel yellows from the new range which seemed to cover really nicely. All cars were finished with a wash of Agrax Earthshade wash from GW new range.

Please Stand by...

Well as with all projects I got distracted and for far longer than I'd hoped for this project. Which is weird as Fallout 3 and New Vegas are nearly always being played by me. What with Fallout 4 coming out later this year and far too much playing of Fallout Shelter on my phone and tablet, it felt right to resurrect this stalled project.

I shall have a few pics of stuff painted recently to put up tomorrow but in the meantime, the promised better photos of my Marx cars.

Cheers chaps.

Fallout Shelter has become an addiction, I love it. I took it off of my phone as I was constantly distracted by it.

As promised, some new things to show: Brahmin for the travelling merchant caravan, a rusty Protectron, an Eyebot and a rebased Yes Man. I'm basing all my fallout stuff up like my Wild West stuff so I can use the same board and some of the Cowboys and some of the buildings. I'll be going with a Mojave wasteland setting.

Finished this Brotherhood of Steel Paladin in t45d power armour last night. I was worried it would look rather boring with all the silver metal but I'm happier than expected with it.

Well, after months of looking, my local 99p Store finally got the EVA dominoes in so I could start my shanty town inspired by Germy's thread here http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=76459.0

This one was a test, really easy to make and I could easily fill a table with a few boxes (each box makes 7 buildings).

Looking good! I've loved that foam domino shanty concept since Germy originally posted it.  :) Question - were you waiting till your local store got them because they're hard/impossible to find online? As a Yank I don't think I have the option of going to the 99p store.  lol

Thanks. I had seen some online but they weren't as cheap. I found some on Amazon at about £3 a box instead of the 99p I paid. I would have been happy paying this as it's still cheap for making some decent terrain.

This project plods on amongst the myriad of other projects I have on the go. Decided I'll be using the This is Not a Test rule set for games. Had a practice game with two bands of raiders facing off and enjoyed them very much.

Started painting my raider biker gang.
