First visit to Salute
« on: 21 April 2013, 12:18:59 PM »
Well we took the plunge and me and my brother went down to salute for the first time.
Never had to que for a wargames show before :o :o :o
And what a que :'(
We got a cheap flight down on the Friday night and stayed at the Ibis hotel a stones throw from Excel.
Didn't pre-book tickets, a bit of a mistake, will book next year.
Excel que guy was a bit of a jobs worth, one of my only complaints.
On to the photos, of some stunning games

Had a great day. Loads of cracking stuff on display. My only other complaint was that some of the stalls and games were a bit cramped with big empty aisles in between. You couldn't get into see the interesting stuff

I'm very envious! Nice photos. I can't believe Mr Bibbly did so much in such a relatively short time. I have buildings that I haven't finished painting in the time he's done those. Andy's zombie table looks amazing too. Was the WWII table 20mm?

It was my first Salute, but I don't think it will be my last...
The Oshiro terrain Samurai game really was a pleasure to behold, I'll really have to bring my camera next time

Lovely photos. Cheers.

It was for the D&D figures that Battlefront/GF9 do.
So many projects..... so little time.......

Cheers. Looking at it on a phone screen didn't help! It looks bloody impressive. Next year I really want to go.
