"Russian hoards" eh? Well I suspect the way wargamers create troves of unpainted lead, eventually they will be. What's the goal for this one, £100,000?

I'd assume that it would be the same as for the just finish Kickstarter (which I assume you invested some dough into? Otherwise, drop me a pm and I'll sort you out :) ). So £7,500.

I am rather pleased we got as far as a USMC mortar, as support weapons are few and far between in the world of 28mm ultramodern.

I am very excited about the Russians, and I hope they are dressed for a temperate cliamate, not tropical, as I would like some for my Baltic campaign.

Well done on a very well managed KS.
Theres more 28mm Superhero Madness at my blog, http://fourcoloursupers.blogspot.com/

Yes, very well done on surpassing pretty much all expectations!  :)

Project Update #25: STORM CLOUDS GATHER.
“Storm from the East”

Ultra modern Russian forces colliding with NATO. Stars will include the Russian hoards pitted against the German Bundeswehr and the forces of the west.

'The forces of the West', i.e. 'NATO' now includes Poland, Hungary, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Slovenia, Slovakia, Bulgaria, Romania, Croatia, Albania and the Czech Republic. The Ukraine and Georgia also seem set to become members in the near future too.

I have no problem with a potential near-future conflict between a rising China and its economic partners, and the US and friends in the Pacific, some friction is sure to develop at some point, but 'Russian Hordes' on the offensive in Europe?

The 1980s called, they want their 'what if' back. ::)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't the kickstarter get to unlocking the PLA Type 89 mortar (with the amount at 26,000 pounds to unlock) even though there is no indication to show by the team.

Cheers,

Helen

Two questions...

1- I upped my pledge so I could pick up a few extra packs, how/when do I get to tell empress/KS what extras I want?

2- As I didn't know that the USMC Mortar stretch goal world be reached I haven't pledged enough to cover that too. Can I still get one win with my other stuff or is it too late? When I supported the Zombiecide KS I got a form emailed to me asking me what I wanted, and I was able to up my pledge at the end to cover the extra stretch goal, but it seems as though my money has been taken out.

Anyone know?

True Helen - they are just very lazy adjusting the graphics!
 ;) ;)
IMO the KS could even raised more $$$ if Empress had put a more lively, day by day new pics, Greens etc strategy.
But reading the comments and annoucements I get the feel that they are happy as it worked for them.
cheers and keep on gaming, Agis - https://www.adpublishing.de

At Agis, i totally agree with u you. They could of done waay better if a lot more rewards were put up much earlier and greens were put up. I think the reason they said (about other companies copying them) was a bit of a cop out tbh.

they done very well dont get me wrong, but could of done SO much more. No doubt lessions learned in this one tho

Look at the guy sitting in the Kreml... are you really really sure he will not do anything? Well, he as a pet tiger... To be quite honest with my experience of PLA and Russian Army officers (albeit limited) I found the PLA one nice the Russian ones scary. If one has to ask my semi-professional opinion I see more chance of us fighting alongside the PLA vs the Russians... anyway it looks nice.

Sure, I don't rule out Russia being involved in a war by any stretch of imagination. The point that I was trying to make was that there is no 'Russian Horde' or indeed Warpact allies to support them any more, no prospect of a reformed Eastern Bloc, nor is Germany likely to be the battleground.

If I was to suggest a most likely opponent for the Russians, it would once more be China... which is a bit 'Tom Clancy' of me to suggest that.

Indeed, while it wasn't my cup of tea, I think they did really well... I'm sure they will learn from their mistakes, although from the response they got, it might be difficult to work out what they were.

:)
