Looking for Spacehip/SpaceHulklike tiles
« on: 29 April 2013, 02:03:51 PM »
Hi fellows

after taking the "Boarding action" from NoLimit, I wandered if there is somewhere in the web free printable pdf including spaceship interior or spacehulk tiles.

i owned Space Crusade and will use it but I think it could be great to pick up more tiles for future games

Thanks for your help

If you aren´t afraid of some wet and dirty work, this might be interesting. I use a few Hirsta art now and then and is overall pleased with them. But casting takes a little time though.

And these are not "free" but the price isn´t that steep and they are really good quality.

I thought I had some of the original downloads GW had on site, but can't find any.

Still google-ing, but I think there are some on Lost and Damned, and WarSeer...

there was a load of these at Boardgamegeek, however I think GW's C&D policy has had the desired effect and they were all taken down, so I doubt you'll find any of the old white Dwarf templates for free on the net and even fan made one's are hard to find these days, a blatant "Not" Space hulk route is probably your best bet

Too right, though I'm pretty sure I have copies of the ones they had for download from their own site.

Sad thing is, I think I even found a Wayback link to those, once upon a...   :'(

There's still lots of games similar to SH and Space Crusade so you will probably find quite some useful stuff on BGG if you take the time to browse through the games.

You can find some free Star Wars maps kicking around.  With a little tweaking you could make tiles out of them.  I bought the Star Wars tile sets from Chapters pretty cheap.  Most of the tiles are generic enough for spaceships.

I spent 5 minutes looking

I rather like the look of the Spaceshipx stuff. I'd never heard of it before.

Creative Gamescapes offer a very nice option for a 3D look.  Also worth checking out are the tiles from Angry Badger: http://www.angrybadgeronline.com/index.php?route=product/category&path=59
