in the town where I was born (lost in the Great steppe, former cossacks outpost), somewhere in the today's north Kazakhstan, we had a Czech legion cemetery, in the middle of the city, a really old one, with some moss-covered gravestones and broken wooden crucifixes. It was a little cemetary, maybe 20x40 meters and full of weeds. Czech forces went through the town one day and have leaved their deads and casualties. The result was that little cemetery. I was a litle boy of five when I saw it first time and I was really haunted, my friend (a boy of six) said, look, there the gravestones of the Czechs. Who are Czhechs, me asked. No idea, he said, some monsters, I guess...Now I was really haunted...The Czechs...

that was the first time I've heard of Czech Legion :)

That is touching, the thought of that lonely haunting place, where their bones rest, so far from home.

But you know me, I can never stay serious for long. Now we discover more about our mysterious Prof, and find that he hails from Kazakhstan, whenever he types anything I'm going to have trouble picturing him in any way but this:

That is a great story.

We're going to get Mike Mignola to do a graphic novel of your stories.

Stop talking about Poly and let's talk about how awesome the Czech Legion was.

They took an armored train! They decorated boxcars with devotional images! They put artillery on flatboats and made a navy! They had a one-eyed commander who wasn't Jan Zizka! Freakin' Trotsky was scared of them!

So what you want to say is that those Czechs pretty much kept the Bolsheviks over there in check?

;)

Nice figures! I´ll have to get some more sailors now... dangity-dang.

I guess you're no longer wondering why some of us got nuts on the news that Copplestone started Czechs. And why I pray 5Star will do this one in 1/48 one day (they do it in 1/35 and 1/72)
