That's a great evocative picture. I almost imagine the figures moving.

You mean like this!

Had a game to try the rules out. Worked well, with a few minor house rules added. Found it faster to have all the models per players side move before the next player moves. This sped up play, and only needed a few tweeks for situations like breaking from combat.
The police raided a warehouse where an antiquitees smuggling operation was in progress. One of the gang leaders nearly escaped the police through a hole in the fence, but was brought low by the kung fu chop and witty remark of a mysterious old beggar who had lurked near the railway siding for the whole game.

" Why Holmes, it was you all along! That plastacine nose and papier mache beard had me completely fooled!"

Are you sure you don't work for Industrial Light and Magic?  lol

Now this takes me back to 'In the Emperor's Name' where the same rule applied. It did cause problems if one side had a solid gun line though, as they could effectively shoot down most of the other player's force before they could react. This is why we moved to the alternating action system.

But hey, as we have said many times, Charles and I encourage you to do your own thing with the rules as long as everyone is having fun.

Brilliant stuff! I know what I'll be doing with that Fagin figure now  :)

I didn't worry about the activation sequence when I played solo, but when I played against the Society of Thule last week the alternate activation became important because they only ever have at most 7 figures to activate against your 11, so this allows you to play a bit of a wait-and-see game during their movement phase.

Cheers

Norman

Always the problem with The Society of Thule is that they have a habit of getting mid-game reinforcements of the most unholy kind  lol
