Scarecrows and Puppetmaster
« on: May 20, 2013, 03:18:27 PM »
The models will be used in "The avengers" themed skirmish games. Of course, they could be used in any type of modern horror or spy setting. These greattly sculpted minis were much fun to paint, especially the puppet master. Hope you like it.  :)

Love the female puppetmaster painting. The lights on the dress are top work!

And I like your scenery too. Are the ladders and foundations scratch built?

Thanks for sharing.
I know you're too old to play with toy soldiers. So give them to me... NOW!

Wow! The effect on that dress is amazing!  :o  :-* The shading is so subtle and realistic.

Thanks guys for the motivating comments  :)

That dressed lady was a pleasure to paint. Don't know anymore who the manufacturer was, but the sculpt is spot on !  8)

Yep. It's scratch built. Did this a few years ago for an Asian fantasy game originally. Have still have to take some pictures of it... ::)

As all have said, the painting on the models is top-notch. However, I really like that overgrown grotto thing you have going on.

Great brushwork and great scenery. Looks like a nice set up for a great game.
Below is a link to my blog. It's the place where I write uninteresting things about little toy soldiers. I do this because I refuse to grow up and behave like an adult.

Really nice work there

Those Scarecrows are very "Dr Who(ish)" too
"Ho, ho, ho! Well, if it isn't fat stinking billy goat Billy Boy in poison! How art thou, thou globby bottle of cheap, stinking chip oil? Come and get one in the yarbles, if ya have any yarbles, you eunuch jelly thou!"

Very good.

I agree with the comments about the painting of the dress - awesome.

I also like the scarecrows and the scenery.

Lovely stuff.  8) The not-Servalan dress is outstanding as other noted before, and the scarecrows have been on my wants list for a very long time. And even more now!

One question does pop up though; how on earth do a European witch and her animated scarecrows end up amids Asian rice paddies? Looks like her translocation spells could do with a bit of a polish... lol
Miniatures you say? Well I too, like to live dangerously...
