That is awesome! And how come the wives always seem to have a problem with a little bit of fun.   :P

That's young adult in wargaming land!

Very niece looking game. At 28mm I imagine the palace would be an eyesore to many who don't appreicate these things.

probably the first time I see a correct scaled large building for 28mm...
scratch-built I presume?

50/50.

I drew the plans and had Martin at Warbases laser it out.

I then glued 3mm foam sheets all over it making sure i put no glue on the window frames. Once dry i cut out the windows.

Decorated with 3mm and 5mm foams for the sills and larger brick work and i then drew all the bricks on with a biro.

Airbrushed the whole thing with Vallejo light rust and dry brushed with light rust/white.

I also printed out some tile patterns and glue them onto the floors inside.

This is the actual Peoples Palace in my dear City. Now i know that my building is not perfect and has some differences but i probably could have spent more time adding the details to it.

Oh Your model is marvellous - the painting could need a little more depth
and the roofs could do better, but otherwise I like it very much

Agreed on both accounts. It was my first at doing anything like this really (apart from one or two small things) and it has been to good learn from it :)

A work of genius if you ask me. When I first saw it I thought  "bugger me, that's some impressive building."

Jolly good to see the ol' reds getting a nice hq.

Theres more 28mm Superhero Madness at my blog, http://fourcoloursupers.blogspot.com/
