Heresy Riddick and Merc
« on: 30 April 2008, 04:47:45 AM »
Got my Heresy order two weeks ago and finally had some time to work on the figures. I did a conversion on Riddick to remove the tea cup and add a knife wielding hand. I still need to finish Riddick's eyes.

I will be placing a second order to get him again, and I will paint the second one in its original form. I just wanted a more traditional Riddick, and what is Riddick without some sort of shiv? The merc is also from Heresy. Now I just need to get some Predators or Aliens in the right scale for a proper scenario involving everybody's favorite Furyan.

The terrain is a Pegasus Hobby sci-fi plastic building. Very nice and cheap!

The skin tones look great on Riddick :)

Thanks! He's a great sculpt and I had a lot of depth to work with. It's basic Foundry Flesh, but I started by mixing the base color with a little craft store Brown Velvet to give him a darker undertone.

Anyway, I am mostly happy with the results!

Thanks!

Looks good.  I've been thinking of taking the cup off of mine and adding knives too.  Unfortunatly I'm not very good at mods.

Have you looked at the Horrorclix Aliens and Predators.  They are a little big for the Heresy figures, but it's not that bad.  The Copplestone Predators are probably a better fit until Heresy comes out with theirs.

Are you using them in Supersystem?

I should look at the Clix guys, they might size up OK. The Predators should be about 7'-8' tall, right? I'll have to compare my Copplestone Preds to Riddick. I have most of them.

I think Andy's green for his Hurn looks better, though.

I might use SuperSystem, but it's more likely I would use Warengine (the old ShockForce rules); I like those a lot for Sci-Fi skirmish.

Thanks!

I don't remember exactly.  I can measure mine tonight.  I have the Coppelstone ones and they do seem to be a bit smaller than the Clix Predators.  Still seem to work out ok I think.  The Hurn does look really good.  i'm looking forward to that.

I checked the size on the Copplestone Preds compared to Riddick, and they'll work OK. Once I get 1-2 on slottas and get some paint on them I will take some battle shots with them side-by-side. Still waiting for Andy's Hurn!
