My Lovecraftian Stuff - Leng Spider
« on: June 10, 2013, 04:44:16 AM »
Hey...im Zorn....im german..and im new here, but i thought it might be a good idea to open a toppic here to share the stuff i did and get some feedback

most of the current studd is Dreamblade miniatures that i thought will make great CoC Minis

Lets start with a

High priestress of Cthulhu

the original Dreamblade Mini is called Ghost of the key...and its a shame really that you cannot see the detail on the pink shiny seethrough original :D

im pretty happy how the colours turned out because i normally paint 40K orks

next a....well i hope you can help me out here !

The dreamblade mini is called a Brainghast

and this mini is actually what started my interest in repainting some of the Dreamblade minis
i wanted it to look a bit like that guy in Akira while hes morphing.....sadly the tones of flesh dont come across that good in the picture

theres alot of stuff i didnt notice untill i painted it like the humanbody merging on he side

next a Caged monstrosity that makes a good objective or whatever

actually im not that happy with how it looks so if i get another i paint it otherwise....maybe more flesh and other fur......

and last but not least a Dreamblade Beetleback Mass

wich makes me think of the insect swarms the great race timetraveled to some time in the future

hope you like em....and leave me some feedback

cheers

the Dreamblade mini is called  caged Grawth or something like this

they are made from that hard rubber stuff...so the best way to get them off is pushing a boxcutter knife through by weighing it from side to side ......you can get them of the base fairly easy this way...allthough you need to push hard and be carefull not to cut yourself when theres only a smaller part to cut through later.....

Nice!

I have some Dreamblades and highly recommend them for modern weirdness if you can find them.

The Cthulhu priestess looks like a good proxy for Cythella in Fantasy Flight Game's Eldritch Horror! Have you picked up the game yet? (:

i repainted 3 Mageknight Deep Spawns.....wich is basically are deep ones to begin with

i just primed it white and addet different shades from pink to blue

for a bit of variation i modifyed the arms a bit
i think i will keep the wet look and not use varnish on the minis…..as it suits Deep ones pretty well

Edit: Finished the models

hope you like em
