Tanganyika's Got Talent (Lines are Open)
« on: 10 June 2013, 02:34:12 PM »

Okay, some of you may remember the battle report I put out a couple of years ago called Ngoni Dawn. If not, then here's a link to it just in case: Linky Link Link

Well I always planned to do a sequel (a sequel to the version where we didn't find out if Munyuse survived or not, that is), and so now the green light has been given for Ngoni Dawn II: Munyuse's Revenge. So as to be more in keeping with modern attitudes, Munyuse is to be more of an action girl in the new one, as her role as a damsel in distress copped us some flak from the active and vocal feminist wing of LAF at the time, and we must concede that they had a point.

Unfortunately, to keep things historically accurate, the role does require some nudity. The actress who originally played Munyuse, Nandi Woman in Bowler Hat, found this requirement unacceptable (mostly due to the fact that her cloak is cast on to her and she can't take it off), so we must recast the part. And there are a couple of candidates who have auditioned for the role...

Needing a new figure I did a bit of tootling about and came up with one I rather liked. But having enjoyed that rather a lot I thought I'd have another go. I was pretty happy with both to be honest, but now I have something of a problem. Which one to cast in the role of Munyuse? This is where you guys come in. People love their TV voting shows these days, don't they? It gives us the pleasing illusion that our opinions are actually worth something. Voting for fat Scottish women singing, celebrities dancing and breaking their necks on ice, and people throwing eggs at Simon Cowell. So let's try that here at Colonial Adventures.

I did two poses, one more of an Action Pose...

Let's call this talented young actress Sally Singana.

And the second is one I think of as the Command Pose...

This delightful young lady's name is Mafuthi Mtwetwe.

So there you have it. Lines are open now. Please cast your vote!
Calls are charged at a premium rate for land lines, and mobiles may cost considerably more.
Please do not call after lines close as your vote will not be counted but you may still be charged.
Plynkes reserves the right to ignore the results of this poll.

Well, I like Sally and I like Mafuthi. But which is better? There's only one way to find out...FIGHT!

Edit: Changed the second Command Picture, as some kind of effect in the photo made her eye look odd. And also spelling and typos because the whole thing was done in a rush.

I really wanted to vote for Ola Jordan, but voted for Sally and now I want to change my mind and vote for the other one ::).

It was a tough call as they are two very nice paint jobs. ;D

I was also going to comment on the excellent work on your Watuta thread, but there was far too much cock on show for my tastes. I'm much more of a tits man  :D

You can't go wrong with any of the miniatures they are all very well done. Not the answer you looking for but the answer I am giving. Now the sheilds are really nice. Perhaps you could give the less talented amongst us a small how to.

By the way I did vote for Mafuthi.  ;)

Make of it what you will, but I'd prefer the slightly more authoritarian "command pose" (oo-er jungle missus!).  ;D

Also, anything that evokes the image of Simon Cowell (and preferably his German counterpart*, Dieter Bohlen, too) stewing away in a cooking pot in Darkest Africa gets my unwavering support.

*I thought about using "evil twin", but since they are both so awful, it would be an insult to respectable evil twins everywhere.

Come on Sally!

For some reason, Mafuthi reminds me of Graham Norton.
