Allied Infantry 1815
« on: 16 June 2013, 05:50:12 PM »
Some units to go up against my French, after 54 redcoats I was fed up painting these I still have 84 in the lead/plastic mountain and 30 of them are Highlanders (My poor eyes).
The Brunswickers I thought would be something of a relief but painting black uniforms is not as easy as you would think. Still I'm pleased with them. Constructive comments regarding my painting or photography very welcome.

Well painted and well shot. The brunswickers are nice because they're not too black.

My only other comment would be that the flags and or their pole seem too large to me. I know some folks like them that way, and it makes them easy to spot on the table.

Don't listen to me tho - go your own way and keep doing what you're doing because it works!

Your eyes suffered for a worthy cause, the results are excellent and the flags are really dramatic.

Great work and solid all round units. Nap Brits are a nightmare to paint with so many diff colours, straps and cuffs and I can only manage to paint them up in small batches. You must of flown through the Brunswickers in comparison as I did with my 95th.

Very nice.  I don't call 84 a mountain though,  more a hillock!

Cheers gents, the flags are from flagdude so I had little to do with the size slightly over large but I like them. The highlighting on the black was done by mixing dwarf flesh with black until I realised that I had a grey that I could use straight so that saved a bit of time.
The 84 are a tip of a very large iceberg I only wish that was the number of unpainted figures I own but no chance lol.
