Stephen and Matilda - the Barons War, what figures to use?
« on: June 27, 2013, 01:06:52 PM »
Hi All

I have a long-term hankering to game the above mentioned conflict.

Can anyone suggest suitable figures in both 15mm and 28mm sizes?

Cheers

Jules

Wow! That was unexpected! javascript:void(0);

I didn't think I'd actually be able to do a 'Steve vs Maude' death-match! And there  was me thinking it'd have to involve loads of figures! Lol!

I will have look at BTD for their respective armies asap!

Cheers

Check out the fireforge range - even though the its crusader based the armour, weapons etc are all correct for the period.

Plus its plastic - where else can you get 48 infantry for 20 quid?

I'ld bet on Stephen.  He looks like he has 20 pounds on her and about 4 inches in reach.

In 28mm i'd suggest Fireforge games. For 15mm, check out legio herorica, they have a feudal range that should do

Yup, have to agree. I'm using the fireforge plastics for Barons war. Just cutting all the bloody crosses off and cherry picking which heads to use. The Templar foot set is quite a nice starting point with the option to make Knights and men at arms with spears/crossbows.

Wish they made some archers though...  ;)
