15mm Terrain for Stalingrad?
« on: June 30, 2013, 12:16:11 AM »
In October, my gaming club's running a game of Flames of War set in Stalingrad. A while back on Battlefront's forum, I had seen a topic that showed some Stalingrad themed terrain, including a portion of the Red October Tractor Factory with a rail line running through it. Does anyone know what manufacturer makes this? I'm helping to plan the game, and terrain for a cityfight is something we need.

There's a US company called JR Miniatures that do some resin terrain:

Alternately, if you are looking at a big table, we made ruins for a 12' x 4' table from free materials :

There is another manufacturer that does the GUM Department store in 15mm but I cannot remember what they are called. Perhaps that will jog someones memory.

Ok I remember now its Field Works http://www.fieldworks.org.uk/index.htm

JR minis sounds like the ones you are after though

There is also these that were mentioned on "Model Dads" http://neveu.blog4ever.com/blog/lire-article-184063-3107049-front_de_l_est__stalingrad_.html

They look a bit jaw dropping and at the bottom they are shown next to some of the JR ones

Oh yes I actually have some of those. How could I forget?  lol

They are nice an crisply cast. I am very pleased with my eastern front houses. They are not destroyed though.

I also have some Kerr and King wooden houses and they are also good but again not really for a  destroyed city. They do have the tram and buildings destroyed set though.

There is also Mark IV miniatures.  They have some suitable buildings in the Fury on the Steppes line.  Both whole and ruined buildings.

I have one of these and really like it.  I plan on getting several more.
