Bag End/Hobbit Hole - Finished
« on: June 30, 2013, 07:27:58 PM »
Hi there,
Since yesterday I have been working on a Bag End terrain piece. Firstly, I made the front of the house and painted it. Then I quickly stuck the shape of a hill together with foam, and added some details to it (sand in the garden, a wicker fence and a chimney). When the glue has dried, I will paint the whole hill, and then I will glue the front to the hill. After all that has been finished, I will finally add grass and some plants to it. Here are the pictures so far:

You comments would be appreciated!   :)
Cheers

Tidy!

Nice! I've always wanted to do one but have never come around to actually doing it. Looks very promising so far. Keep up the good work!

VERY COOL! The bright green round door, red shingles, & wattle fence all bespeak a proper Hobbit abode. Keep up the SPLENDID WORK!

I hope you won't be offended if I call it cute! The colors are a great palette for Hobbits.

Can't wait to see it finished!

Now that's a proper little hobbit hole. You might want to add a few flowers here and there to break up the green of the hill a little. But that's just a samll detail. All in all a perfect place for a hobbit to live in.

VERY NICELY DONE! That does capture the charming side of Hobbit chic...I wonder if Hobbits have Garden Gnomes.

It's come up nicely. I agree - a few flowers, but the shape and build are very good nonetheless.

Very cute :) Why stop at flowers? Pumpkins, marrows, little bunnies, butterflies, earthworms, mushrooms, fallen leaves...

Are we being helpful yet? :P

Really nice. It's rare to see single sided cardboard used so effectively in a non-corrugated-metal capacity.
