(Army Painters) Butternut Confederate infantry
« on: 11 July 2013, 03:20:55 PM »
I recently finished this unit (the one in front, the other was completed several months ago) I always use a very cheap light grey primer, followed by some base colors (Vallejo mostly) This time I wanted a unit that was mostly clad in butternut uniforms they were recently supplied with, so I used almost no grays. Painted the entire unit in a week. I used Army Painter Dark Tone and used a brush to apply it.

Thanks! this is actually the 10th unit I've painted. So that's 240 Confederate infantry  ;D and I've also done 6 reb cannon. I still plan to paint at least two regiments which will allow me to field 3 brigades in Black Powder. I also have 8 units of yankee infantry and six cannon  lol

Nicely done tones, they look the part.
a mixture of quick parts, sarcastic humour, reserve, and caprice.

You taught me well, General Lee!!

We play a lot of Brother Against Brother in our group:

I love the way you base your figures.  I am planning on ordering some 'movement trays' so I can use them for big battles.
