The Mummy vs The Yeti
« on: 22 July 2013, 05:08:42 AM »
Had a game of Tong vs Servants of Ra. Both were waiting to ambush a Silk Road artifact on its way to the British Museum.
The Tong were better placed the the Egyptians.

and managed to stop the transport truck with a well placed grenade. Lady Espeth and Professor Smythe managed to get out of the truck before the boiler exploded, along with one of their security men.

The Tong released their Yeti on the survivors, beheading the professor, when they were surprised by the Servants of Ra. Sairah appeared as if from thin air behind their ranks, slicing into Boxer musket men, while Akhenaton mesmerised a Tong to swing a cleaver into his comrade.

In the battle between Mummy and Yeti..... well the mummy didn't stand much of a chance

Sairah was locked in battle with the Dragon Lady until Wu Jen leapt in with a flying kick and knocked her into the river to be swept away by the ebb tide. This left Ahkenaton to face the remaining tong alone! He dispatched the tong gangers with ease, but the combined combat power of WuJen and the Yeti had him locked in a stalemate battle. As Professor Abir drove past in a stolen truck, Ahkenaton sprung from combat into its passing safety, knowing his enemy would wait another day.

A most excellent report with exciting lithographs, hand tinted to give a lifelike verisimilitude! It was as if I were there.

The Lady Elspeth survived, avoiding the venomous talons of the Dragon Lady she fled into the alleyways. She'll be back to relclaim her investment once she has assembled a league of extraordinary gentlefolk to assist her!

The game looked like a lot of fun and chaotic. Nice little AAR.

As I've stated elsewhere, lacking documentation from Nick's sales, I've come to the conclusion based on purely posts that the Tong was least favored of the five Nickstarter companies.

However, the power from the East is to be feared!  lol

Both fun, and as the second Yeti I've seen not to follow the 'official' color scheme, a revelation. Thanks!

My Dragon Lady has yet to see paint, and I'll probably have her decked like the box, but that palette is smashing! Have a piccie of her facing full into the camera? Not that she'd allow such on purpose, mistress of mystery as she is!  ;)

As far as I've seen, Dallimore is the only one to have painted one in those colours, I don't like it.

I agree, good job on the alt colour scheme.  Also nice storytelling, I personally enjoy games a whole lot more when they tell an exciting story even to the point of allowing changes in the rules because it enhances the story.
