Of girls and lions (pic heavy!)
« on: 24 July 2013, 08:43:20 PM »
Last weekend we met at the secret headquarter of lead adventurers in south-western germany to play (not only) a game set in Gumbaland.

Gumbaland is, as some of you might already know, our fictitious country in east africa.

'Well you might know that there's only a single place for us Europeans in Gabamba, Gumbas old and dirty capital. That is, certainly, the bar of the 'Hotel Exquisit'.

It has been some weeks since then, but although most of the European Nations don't work hand in hand together most of the time, there are some situations when we have to stand together against the greater evils - and in Gumba this always has something to do with Abdul Al Hazred, arabian prince and ruthless slaver.

It was the German diplomat, Oberst von Ellenberg (Remington), that brought the otherwise competing gentlemen Sir Baron Wennthrop (Aeneas) and Henri van Laakdikten (Turbo-Ben) together to stop the raids of Abduls slavers (nils) and his fearsome Azande allies (Prof.Witchheimer), at least thats what they were told.
In truth he only wanted to free his playmate from Abduls playboy mansion!

The baron, beeing a real gentleman, didn't have to think about this to long as slavery had already been banned in Gumbaland by the british crown. Henri otherwise had some problems of which I will tell you later, as he and Abdul (the Klappstuhl), had been prosperous business partners trading ivory (and maybe the one or other unfree person) before.'

Abduls tembe is located in the center of a small village close to the forest.

The white man advance on the west while on the other side of the village, the fierce Azande startle a peacefull elephant...

But its all quiet in the tembe. Is Abdul there at all?

The belgian Askaris get attacked by a lion lying in the bushes and suffer their first loss through Henris shotgun. (As Henri tries to become a popular big game hunter he did not allow his askaris to kill the lion...)

There's still no one besides the boy and his cow to see in the village.

I think Tarzan has never met a trumpeter before?

It looks like Abdul finally heard the trumpets.

The Profs Azande cross the village.

By the way, we should mention that the scenario was conjured up by nils.

Yes, of course!

Scenario by nils.
Table by the Prof. and Grimm.
Vegetation by Grimm (I think?)
Tembe and huts by Turbo-Ben
Animals by the Prof.
Minis by the Prof, Remington, Aeneas, nils and Turbo-Ben
