Nifty Gripping Beast promo figure
« on: May 08, 2008, 05:28:17 PM »

Part of a three-figure vignette by GB if you get GW2 through them. Poly, you have to pick this guy up by guile if possible and force if necessary.

Also Kate Beaton had a funny one today on the great war. This proves that there are at least two women in the world who like World War I. She's also on exactly the other side of the planet from Helen.

Ah, man. Why did I order from those lousy no-good GW goons? They still haven't sent it yet anyway, and I MUST HAVE THAT FIGURE!!!

That settles it, Sickers is getting Warhammer Great War for his birthday, ordered from Gripping Beast.  :)

I had actually moaned about the lack of deals like this. LOTHS seemed to have an offer from everybody and a lot more promotion on the web.

This one seemed to sneak out rather quietly by comparison but thanks guys, GB now have my order.

Thanks Pete,

I love her sense of humour 8)

Thanks for pointing out the promo offer too. I've just noticed this offer on TMP. It also mentioned Bill from Musketeer Miniatures is designing the vignette as Soapy injured himself.

My best wishes goes to him for his quick recovery.
Best wishes,
Helen

Well, I've ordered it. So either the young fellow is getting one, or there's gonna be a copy on eBay pretty soon...  :)

A certain person spent the entire weekend with his head stuffed in the Warhammer Great War book, to an extent that I haven't really had a good look at it yet.

So I appear to have found a home for my second copy...  :)

A gentle nudge, and he will be one of us.

To be fair, and as he said himself this weekend when I was teasing him about being a GW Hobby Drone and all-round fanboy, he has played much more non-GW than GW in his gaming life to date. So perhaps he already is one of us.

That's an interesting observation on his part. I guess I meant "one of us" in that he'll develop spontaneous interest in the Kuomintang or all eleven Battles of the Isonzo or the Czech Legion.

Now if he could only apply this sort of insight to the condition of his mustachio or his hair, we'd be in great shape.
