Samurai Miniatures Size Comparison Help
« on: August 04, 2013, 05:31:28 AM »
Hi, I was wondering if any one could help with some miniature scale photos of different types of 28mm - 30mm Samurai together , things like Perry miniatures Samurai, War games Factory Samurai, Zenit miniatures Kensei Samurai range, GCT studios Bushido miniatures Samurai.

I was wondering if some of these miniatures can mix well on the table, or that their sizes are to different. I was manly looking at Perry Miniatures, War Games Factory and Zenit miniatures Kensei Samurai range.

Thanks for any help

I don't have all that you are looking for, but here is Old Glory, Perry, and TAG

TAG, Perry. Old Gory (converted), TAG

Thanks joekano, I didn't think of the TAG miniatures, they seem a good match to Perry miniatures.
Old Glory as well, seem in the right scale range.

The TAG figures are chunkier than Perry, but can be mixed if you're careful (though they are different eras, so I only mix the monks and civilians. OG are between the two in chunkiness, but not quite as well sculpted (though not bad for rank and file).

Hi all,

a newbie here but long time lurker.    Just saw this thread and thought I could help.

I promise to post comparison shots of Perry, Zenit/Kensei, GCT/Bushido, Reaper and LO5R/Clan War tomorrow after I've got new batteries for my camera and I don't have to do the dishes, make dinner and put away washing!

Cheers all

Hi Marauderman,
thanks for your patience....tomorrow never seems to come these days!

As promised a samurai size comparison!!!

OK (That worked!) from left to right Perry, LOT5R Clan War, Zenit Miniatures Kensei, GCT Bushido, OKKO (now oop), Tale of War and Reaper Miniatures.

The Kensei, Bushido, Okko and Tale of War figures are all multi part (separate arms, saya and other bits and bobs).
The Bushido, Okko and Tale of War are all 32mmish and are all very "Manga style western looking" facially.

All the figures are nice clean casts and look good fun to paint...just not at the top of my lead mountain just now!!!!   ;D

Hope this helps
cheers
chris

Thanks Dal ( Chris) this helped me a lot. Thank you for going to the trouble of going through your lead pile and finding those miniatures and then  posting the scale photo for me.

If you are looking for other comparisons.  Our Yahoo! Newsletter has a gallery with our figures compared to Perry, TAG and others.  Can be found here http://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/kingsfordminiaturesnewsletter/info and there's no moderator approval required.
