Info on interwar US forces
« on: 18 August 2013, 03:53:36 AM »
Ok, looking for info on late 1920s and early 1930s US Army infantry and Cav TO&E at the Battalion, company, platoon and squad level.
Did the US infantry ascribe to the 10 man squad with on NCO a few corporals, a rifle grenade and a BAR?  Was there a Weapon squad in the platoon? Or was ever thing kept at the company level at this time?
"Peace" is that brief, glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading.

Maybe it's deja vu, but haven't we already done this previously?  :?

Not that I mind talking about old organisation patterns or anything of course...  ;)

I also found this site: http://www.warestablishments.net/

It's mostly British and Commonwealth, but it has also has some American units, including Cavalry Regiment and Armoured Division Infantry Regiments for 1940.
