Pike & Shotte in Eastern Europe
« on: August 21, 2013, 08:01:54 AM »
Apparently I need to make at least one post in my first month here. Coincidentally, I also just figured out how to share PDF files directly through google. So, anyone who wants rules for Cossacks, Muscovites or Tatars in Warlord's Pike & Shotte system should check out my mini-supplement here. There's also rules for non-TYW Swedes.

Feedback, either historical or gameplay-related, is always welcome! Thanks!

And it feels weird to post without pictures, so here are some of my Cossacks:

Tried the link but couldn't open it.  It might just be my computer but how do you share PDF through Google?

I shared it through Google Drive, which appears to be the new version of what used to be called Google Docs. I'm not much for computers, but the link works for me even when I'm logged out of my Google account. It should be available to anyone with the url. I guess if nothing else works you could PM me your email address and I could send you a copy.

A neat kind of reverse given that the ACW Zouaves were modelled on their North African counterparts.

Thanks everyone!

I'll do a full how-to when I get my next box of Zouaves, but for now, here's a picture of how they looked unpainted, which should give you the gist of the process.

Yes, it's very pleasing to my sense of historical appropriateness. My suspicion is that both outfits can ultimately be traced back to Ottoman fashions. Did you ever get the PDF to download?

Yes thanks and A good read it was too. I had a long hard look at the available figures for Polish Commonwealth as an alternative for my ECW army.
