I built a bit for my Dark Age Saxons... or rather for them to raid.  lol





Foam board, teddy bear fur and lolly sticks will get you a long way in the Dark Ages.  ;)

Haha! Yeah, speaking of which, I think I need to paint the curtains a different colour... they look too dull.

Are they grubenhauser (please excuse my lack of umlauts)? If they are they're more likely to be part of a Saxon settlement, I'd think, than almost anyone else's (though in Britain anyway there are some grubenhauser outside of areas with other evidence for settlement by the Early English).

Nah, not really. They're just inspired by what I thought would look old enough. I never cared for historical accuracy..  lol

Well, they look exactly right, I think, for 'some huts from the Dark Ages'. Or indeed 'some huts from Fantastyland'. Very nice work.
