Thanks again!  :)

Beautiful.  It's like a thousand-year-old photograph.

I don't recognize those two hooded men and couldn't find them in the GB range.  Could anyone please direct me to them? Thanks.
tyrionthehalfman is totally right, the miniatures are from the GB civilians range.

UPDATE: VIKING TRAIDERS
As mentioned before, I left Germany for a semester abroad in Leeds UK and left all my hobby stuff at home. But before I went there I already made a couple of new shots. Unfortunately this one here is the last one of that series. I was like that viking ship by Revell is so amazing that I should use it more than just as a decoration in photograph backgrounds. So I thought about what kind of scene I want to show in a close up view. Decided for some viking traiders and ship crew by GB, barrels are from Stronghold Terrain again.

Cheers,
Daniel

A late return to this thread - wow! There is some gorgeous painting there. With regards the animals - are they plastic, metal, resin? They are really nicely detailed beasts for 28mm.

Lovely scene. Are the shields and decals worthwhile in the Revell set (I see you left them off)?

Thanks for that... there's actually one in my local model shop.... I think it's abut the same price as the GB resin model, which I like a lot.

Still, I might make the plunge; though I don't fancy cutting away the bottom of the ship if that's what one would have to do to give it a waterline?

Darrell.

Indeed you do need to cut it down as it has the full hull to go on a display stand but it does look really nice painted up.

At the risk of sounding stupid (again  lol ), how would you go about cutting the hull down and keeping it all level?

Darrell.
