HVM's SAGAS // UPDATE: VIKING ARCHERS

I'm gutted I didn't buy Viking plastics back when I decided to splash out. In the end I got mostly Gripping Beast metals, and frankly the older sculpts (which, being Vikings, they mostly were) are crude and quite roughly done. Decent quality for filling a unit, not great for a skirmish force.

Your lovely paintjob on these (GB plastics or WF?) is just rubbing salt into the wound!

Was just idly leafing through pages of the Medieval board over a morning cuppa, and spotted this thread. I missed it when it was on the front page it seems. Absolutely gorgeous painting! Are those the Gripping Beast plastics? Fantastic stuff!

Those are some excellent Gripping Beast plastics there!

I like how you put the armoured Gripping Beast viking heads onto the Gripping Beast Dark Age Warriors bodies. I noticed that those dark age warriors weren't all that viking in style, but with the heads they do fit the bill very well!

after a long time i finally managed to continue my dark ages projects.

This miniature is the brandnew viking warlord by StrongholdTerrain and was part of the special-deal of the german SAGA rulebook.
