Help locating source and ID #s for limited release minis
« on: May 16, 2008, 06:03:46 PM »
I'm trying to track down a set of the Warhammer Historical figs of the 3 Earps and Doc at the OK Corral that were released as a promotional item when LotOW first came out.  I have had no luck whatsoever - even Noble Knight Games can't ID them, and can't search for them without an ID number.

Any posse rides out there with some leads on the bunch?

Thanks!

As far as my trader told me the minis came free with the first orders of LotOW, so I asume there's no chance in locating them with an ID.

They were sculpet by the Perries as far as I know, you might try looking for them on E-Bay

I realize that these are not Citadel Miniatures per se, but there has been discussion over at the CCM (Collecting Citadel Miniatures) Yahoo group about them and there was talk about creating a reference for them on the CCM Wikipedia site.

I suggest posting a call over at the CCM Yahoo group and you may see some results.

If folks have pictures of the various promotional figures in question, I can add them to the CCM Wiki site as a reference.

I believe this is a picture of what you're looking for. They have been out of production for a long time.

I wonder who has the rights to them. Might be a good idea to ask the Perry's.

As with all their historical figures, they are very well sculpted, very useful and very popular. So, of course, they stopped selling them fairly soon after release  >:(

A possible candidate for "Marketing Ploy Of The Year" award?

Or not.
