Nice review, I myself think this book is the best "value for money" rulebook on the market. If you compare it to many rulebooks released today where you get 80-120 pages for something like £24 then the BF&S rulebook is a bargain considering that you get rules, history about a little known period/theater and historical army lists in one volume. All further army lists are released as PDF for free, and there is already quite a few in Polish and a bunch that have been/or are being translated into English.

i fully agree.  this may be a result of the previous play and experience earned from the Polish editions over the development time.  i thoroughly enjoyed reading the rulebook and did not mind the heft of it as i knew i was getting a lot of detail for the game and the period.

now i have to assemble and paint the damn figures!!!  i may book a holiday just for that.
