« on: September 24, 2013, 11:46:25 PM »
Our new 7th Voyage supplement Myths and Monsters is now available! Written by Matt Gibbs with photography by Kevin Dallimore.

Dare you face the quest? Will you take up weapons and begin a zealous crusade to hunt down the monsters of legend? Or will you take on the role of one of these mythic beasts, unleashing their savage rage and power on the world of 7th Voyage? Concentrating on two of the greatest stories of Ancient Greece, that of Herakles’ Twelve Labours and Odysseus’ struggle to return home, this 40 page PDF supplement to 7th Voyage provides new rules and campaigns based on these epics.

Play new Archetypes such as the Veteran Hunter, the villainous Beast Keeper, a Companion Muse or a Lost Soul; or build your own mythic monster with the new Monstrous Beast Archetype.

Venture on two epic campaigns with twelve new scenes to enjoy new Guest Stars to direct from the brave Herakles and Odysseus, to the sorcerous Circe and the terrifying Cerberus!

In store right now for £5.

Just ordered mine.  Hope it doesn't cost too much to have it printed and bound (should have read the small print - stick me down for a printed copy too please  :-)

In the UK, 'The Early Learning Centre' in Mothercare stores have some mythical creature toys. The French toy company 'Papo' also do some nice bits and pieces and you can buy their stuff from Amazon if you can't find it in a shop.

EDIT: In fact, that Cerberus and Chimera look identical, so I think Papo just goes under the name of Mastermind Toys in the US. They also do tubs of 'minis', which are just scaled-down versions of their ranges, but I don't know what scale they would compare to.

I think it's still Papo, just sold by Mastermind.

Aha! That would probably explain the fact that it says 'Papo Chimera' next to the picture of the Chimera in that Mastermind link ... what a feckwit I am.

It's well worth having a good flick through the Papo catalogue, there's loads of great stuff there and I know from experience how well painted they are.

Thanks for that Nerv, good shout. One thing I really like about Papo is the extremely good sculpting and painting - much too good for a kids' toy!
