Matrosen in Berlin (1978)
« on: 04 October 2013, 02:24:53 AM »
The documentary "Sailors in Berlin" about the German Revolution is available online for free at:

There are some decent video clips of the communist sailors and freikorps troops.

Pretty cool!

Pretty cool
"Peace" is that brief, glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading.

Thanks - there's real opposition to the Freikorps.  Brigade Games makes German Sailors in their WWI in Africa range, which should serve.

Nice find, thanks for posting.

I think the Copplestone Miniatures Russian sailors are the best for this conflict.  Most of those shown in the video are in jackets, not the standard light wear with the typical sailor collar.  The Copplestone's are a mix of jacket and light wear.

I am interested in land warfare throughout history and beyond, except the Seven Years War, in Europe.

Ohh my .. this video reeks of socialist propaganda! :D
Probably best to turn of the volume - as with all propaganda!
Nice pictures though ...

Great Video! (At least the visuals.  ;))

If somebody is looking for suitable miniatures, I'd like to toss my hat into the ring. Not much to show besides the dollies, yet. (Hopefully more in time for christmas.  ;))
