Ties are a good idea and I'll put some on between the two stacks and the flag pole and paint them yellow as well.

A nice piece of work! It's good to see contra-rotating propellers on your craft. Knowing a thing or two about torque, it always bothers me when models display just one prop.

That is a superb paintjob. The weathered white bodywork is brilliant, how many different shades of off white did you use? Also love the woodwork on board.

Just the one, given a dirty wash and then brought back up where necessary and a bit of pastel shading to hide the missed bits.

Looking very cool there sir!

For the stacks, it looks like a fairly 'dirty' conversion of a skiff, so chains would be a suitable support for the stacks. Personally I would angle the lower section of the stack so that it comes out at an angle but then comes up straight, past the command deck.
