Whats the best spray-can basecoat for WWII British Armour
« on: October 18, 2013, 06:00:44 PM »
As the subject suggests, I'm looking for the best/nearest aerosol basecoat for British armour of WWII & the immediate post war period.
I used to use Tamiya, but can't for the life of me remember which one (& there are no nearby retailers for a quick check).
 Many thanks for all help.

I think Army Painter has just come out with some spray paint basecoats for various WWII countries.
Jane! Stop this crazy thing!

It will depend on where and when your armoured vehicles are to be depicted.

Have a look here http://www.mafva.net/other%20pages/Starmer%20camo.htm for information.

Many thanks for all the suggestions, have realised that I can use Tamiya's Olive Drab as British AFV's used that from '44.
